Thursday, January 28, 2016, Schallert Elementary held their annual school spelling bee. Their champion was Jaime Garza with evaporation being the winning word. Their alternate champion was Rhianna Amador. Jamie will be attending the South Texas Regional Spelling Bee in Corpus Christi on February 20. Congratulations to all participants!
Hello parents and community members! We are beginning a new semester this six weeks and are going full force ahead with campus academic activities, fall sports, intervention plans, and STAAR/EOC testing preparations.
AHS students participated in History Fair Senior Division on Thursday, January 14. Please see the attachment for a list of winners. These students will now advance to Regionals in Kingsville on February 13. Congratulations to all students who participated!
The Alice ISD Instructional Support Center Gazette is a newsletter written by district administrators that includes articles with information of upcoming events, recognitions of faculty and staff, updates on staff development or training sessions and much more! It is published on the last day of every month or the last Friday of the month - except December. We hope that you will find this newsletter to be informative and helpful!
Alice ISD students from each grade level competed at the District Science Fair held at the Alice High School Auditorium on Thursday, December 3. There were a total of 269 projects from Grades Kinder-8th, and only 6 were chosen from each grade level. There are 56 students who will be advancing to the Coastal Bend Regional Science Fair that will be held at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX on February 26-27, 2016. Congratulations to all the participants, teachers, and parents for all your help in making this event successful!
